We are now open for cycle hire for the 2024 season at Loch Katrine. The Loch Katrine cycle route is one of the finest in Scotland offering spectacular mountain and loch views. The route on tarmac private road is 14 miles each way to Stronachlachar (28 miles in total) Its has a number of big hills and takes in the best of the Trossachs.

You can rent bikes from Katrine Wheelz at Trossachs pier as well as Electric bikes, tags, trailers and even tandems! The Pier café at Stronachlachar is a great stop. I would suggest 3-4 hours for the cycle. Another option is to only cycle one way and use the historic Loch Katrine steamship cycle and sail service. Take the 10.30am sailing down Loch Katrine to Stronachlachar Pier with you bike on board. Enjoy the cruise before getting off the boat and cycling the 14 miles back to the start point at Trossachs Pier. You need to book the bikes and boat in advance but its a fantastic day out for all the family.
